It is important that you invest in a shampoo and conditioner that is designed specifically for use on a wig: regular shampoo will leave the fibers of your wig feeling dry, and will also strip it of is colour, which could leave you with a wig that is faded or stripy. The same rule is true of shampoos that claim to be formulated to be gentle or baby shampoos: these still aren’t of a good enough standard to use on your wig. If you only buy one accessory alongside your new wig, make sure that you buy a specialist wig shampoo and conditioner.
